OUR MISSION
Externato "O CISNE" is an educational establishment located in Amadora, dedicated to pre-school education and the 1st cycle of basic education.

Founded in 1966, it has been characterized since that time by the union and interaction between students and staff, in a truly affectionate environment, which allows it to constitute itself as an extension of the most relevant foundation of the child's development: the FAMILY.
This constant interactivity between everyone allows that, in addition to formal learning inherent to the curricular contents carried out in the classroom, in harmony with the educational project, the child is made aware of the importance that others will have in his life, awakening him to the social life, from now on awakening it to social life, highlighting the values, norms and rules of a healthy coexistence in society, highlighting the respect, tolerance and the spirit of mutual help that should exist.

Based on these principles, the daily experience of students at the " O Cisne " school, will help them to be more responsible and autonomous, based on their experience, not only with children of their age, but also of different ages, similarly to what happens when, in a different context, they play with other children, family or friends who do not attend day school.
